paragon-game.com Updates #2

It is more than two weeks now since we did an overview of website updates so it’s time to look back and see what has changed here on paragon-game.com. It’s also time to announce some of our winners of our community contribution award. See the details below.

Updates

Let’s start with the updates.

1. For guide creators added a “guide health-check” to allow higher quality guides creation. See more here.

2. Added more emphasis on the guide creator by linking to the agora.gg Elo profile.

3. All the guides created by a contributor are now listed in their profile.

4. Added a top image for each guide. Each guide creator can alter it or just use the default one. This guide is one of the examples.

5. Guides index was reworked a bit to make it look better and be more responsive to the mobile devices.

6. Featured guides were added to the front page. They will be rotating to ensure not only good old guides are promoted but some promising new guides are receiving enough community attention.

7. Added a concept of a community-driven one-stop guide. A single guide for each hero covering most aspects in general. Each logged in user can edit it (moderators approve changes to go live). An example for Murdock.

8. For guide creators added a short-codes list in text editor to make it easier to format guides with more eye-candies.
   

Awards

One of the winners was defined one week ago but announcement was delayed. So let me pass my congratulations to PsYcHo962 who did awesome job by creating two guides for creating decks. He also keeps continuously supporting the discussions inside those guides.

There is another winner to be announced. We didn’t plan to make it a weekly award but the decision was to highlight SmokeyJay’s contribution since it was quite visible. He did not only create and constantly update his Muriel Support Guide. He was the 1st one to make a detailed composition analysis inside a guide, the 1st one to raise a hand to help moderating arriving comments and he’s keeping tracks of the most discussions on paragon-game.com.
