I believe I saw this correctly. If he follows you to your spawn he instantly die, but because of his resurrection he can then continue our to fight where your hero spawns. I have the replay to back this up

You can see there is a fight at the end where greystone enters the spawn and resurrects and fights an opposing hero ..me..lol
