Rampage is a high mobility melee Tank that operates best as a frontline. Rampage can engage enemies and just as it looks like he’ll die, he can enrage to gain health and continue fighting.
Focus on buying cards that increase your Health, Basic and Ability Resistances.
Early, work with your allies to try and secure kills. A well timed Boulder Throw can swing the fight your way. Leap with Pounce, to help help you catch up to your enemies.
Your Ultimate, Enraged, will give you bonus health regen, which will allow you to keep fighting. Rampage becomes ridiculously tanky late game and because Enrage gives you bonus health regen, you’ll be able to fight for long periods of time while your enemies waste their abilities on you and not your team.

RAMPAGE OVERVIEW
Rampage’s Strengths
- Tanky
- Very impactful CC early game
Rampage’s Weaknesses
- Vulnerable to focused fire. While enraged his hitbox is very big and hard to miss.
RAMPAGE’S ABILITIES ANALYSIS
– Swipe (Basic Attack)
Melee basic attack dealing Basic Damage.
- Base damage is 58 and increases by 1 each Hero level up to 72 at level 15.
- Attack speed slightly increases with Hero level.
- Ability Card scaling factor is 60%.
– Pounce (Alternate Ability)
Rampage leaps 1000 units, dealing Ability Damage to all nearby enemies when he lands.
- Base damage is 75 and increases by 40 each ability level up to 195 at level 4.
- Cooldown remains constant 10 seconds at all ability levels.
- Base cost is 55 Mana and increases by 5 each ability level up to 70 Mana at level 4.
- Ability Card scaling factor is 40%.
Similar to Greystone’s Assault the Gates but can’t be used in the middle of the jump. Very versatile gap closing or escape ability especially when Enraged (read below). Can also be used as an adder to your damage burs if you do a Swipe (LMB/R2) right after using Pounce. This will cause Rampage to do a tiny jump and deal damage to a nearby enemy.
When Enraged Pounce distance is really huge. Combo of Enraged into Pounce is one of the best disengage tools in Paragon. Just beware of Stun or Roots.
– Boulder Throw (Primary Ability)
Rampage throws a boulder that deals Ability Damage and stuns enemy heroes for a short period of time. Enemy minions hit by the boulder will be displaced.
- Base damage is 100 and increases by 65 each ability level up to 295 at level 4.
- Base stun effect is 1.4 seconds and increases by 0.2 each ability level up to 2 seconds at level 4.
- Cooldown remains constant 14 seconds at all ability levels.
- Base cost is 75 Mana and increases by 5 each ability level up to 90 Mana at level 4.
- Ability Card scaling factor is 75%.
In fact Boulder is a 2-step ability.
- Upon activation Rampage grabs a rock and while doing so he’s locked to a place not able to even move his sight direction. Keep that in mind if you are going to use Boulder Throw against an enemy “dancing” around you. You may completely loose track of that enemy. And one more thing. When grabbing a rock Rampage makes a very specific and pretty loud roar so if you want to be sneaky consider activating this ability far in advance. While holding the rock rampage has his movement speed reduced a little bit.
BTW if the rock is held more than 5 seconds it will time out and consume both Mana and cooldown. If manually cancelled it will consume only Mana. - Now, second step is an actual throw. If Rampage is stunned while holding the rock this ability will go on cooldown. The good thing is that you can easily cancel it. This feature makes Boulder Throw a good tool to harass enemies by pretending to use it.
Boulder Throw has massive impact on any battle. Right from the ability level one it gives you whole 2 seconds of Stun which is huge especially if used on squishy heroes. Boulder has a huge range but there is a flip side of the coin – it follows a ballistic trajectory. This means you have to practice in aiming with this ability.
IMPORTANT: Boulder Throw is closer to Dekker’s Stasis Bomb than to Thunk of Narbash. It passes through enemy minions and therefore can disable your opponent trying to hide behind them.
More about minions. Boulder will deal damage to any enemy minion it passes through. Keep that in mind if you need to quickly make a wave of minions attacking your Tower on Inhibitor. As for the Jungle minions it’s a completely different story. Only one minion will be impacted by the stun and receive damage. No Jungle minions will be displaced by Boulder.
Boulder Throw is not only an exceptional CC ability it also shaves off a lot of HP with its base damage and 75% scaling.
– King of the Jungle (Secondary Ability)
Passive: Gain additional Health Regen, plus an additional Health Regen while in Jungle.
- Bonus HP regen starts with 0.5/second and increases by 0.5 each ability level up to 2/second at level 4.
- Bonus HP regen starts with 3/second and increases by 3 each ability level up to 12/second at level 4.
– Enraged (Ultimate Ability)
Rampage becomes enraged, gaining huge amount of Health Regen for the next 12 seconds. Pounce range is greatly increased. Boulder Throw can be thrown quickly, but at shorter range. Can be turned off early by retriggering the ability.
- Bonus HP regen starts with 75/second and increases by 50 each ability level up to 175/second at level 3.
- Base cooldown is 80 seconds and decreases by 20 each ability level down to 40 seconds at level 3.
- Base cost is 80 Mana and increases by 20 each ability level up to 120 Mana at level 3.
Gets bigger.
